I have recently drove from Sydney to Hobart with my Tesla Model 3 (Long Range). It’s something interesting, first time taking the Spirit of Tasmania across the strait, while driving with my familiar vehicle while in Tasmania.
I’ll split this into several posts as follow, and I’ll post them over the next couple of weeks.

- Echuca to Geelong
- Geelong to Devonport
- Tasmania
- Devonport to Melbourne
- Melbourne to Sydney
I took just over a week for the entire trip. It’s just nice, but of course if I have more time, I’d like to take my time, perhaps add at least another week to it. The trip in general has been a lot of fun. Range has not been an issue at all, as long as you planned your trip well. It can be a bit of a challenge though in the regional area if you do not plan. Keep in mind that ABRP and Plugshare are your best friends here.
